So glad you guest posted! I can’t wait to make that mask myself! One lady asked on FB where you get your raw honey? She said normally when she finds it, it’s the creamier kind. Anyhow, THANK you Lori!

Thanks for the opportunity Rachel! That jar of raw honey actually came from New Zealand :-P There are lots of different varieties of honey, so some raw varieties will be a harder consistency. But you can still find runny honey that is raw and unfiltered. I would look for local sellers at farmer’s markets or Amish farms or online for better deals than you might find at the health food store.

Dear Lori, While I may be way too old (73) for a facial mask that will help my aging skin, I wanted to find something besides “Olay” and similar products that clog my pores and do nothing. My skin is lifeless, sagging, etc. Found your fascinating blog and am going to try the honey and coconut oil as well as the honey / cinnamon / nutmeg scrub. One question please: is there a caution for “older” dry thin skin in using any of these scrubs or tonics? Thanks so much for what you have contributed to all of us reading your messages. Patricia

Hi Patricia! I know of no contraindications for food on your face at any age — unless of course you are aware of an allergy to a particular ingredient. Every person’s skin will respond differently, so just listen to your body and try some different combinations. Here’s to happy, healthy skin! :)

Hi! Great idea for holiday presents! I’ve seen a recipe for this mask before, except it also included lemon juice. What are your thoughts on adding lemon juice? And if you were to add lemon juice, would you recommend making a big batch all at once or only as needed?

I am 31 and still have acne. I am excited to try all your natural ideas. I just started doing an oil cleanse a couple days ago and it seems to be helping. I was wondering what do you wash your face with when you have makeup on to take the makeup off?

After reading a post on fb about the benefits of honey + cinnamon, I mixed up some into a paste to put on my face. I had a rough, red spot that developed and after only one application (overnight–i put a small towel on my pillow) it was greatly improved. What more need I say, other than “THIS STUFF WORKS!”
